Vision of St. Paul’s Church

With the love of Jesus, St. Paul’s Church will be a church that Heals Hurts, Restores Hope, & Transforms Lives.

Core Values of St. Paul’s Church

Core values are fundamental beliefs; they are the non-negotiables, the things that cannot be compromised.  These guiding principles dictate actions, especially in challenging circumstances.  Core values help to determine the right path to take to fulfill our purpose and goals.  These are concrete principles that everyone within the church can use as a guide for who we are and what we do.

  1. Christ-Centered – We are Christians –“little Christs”. We believe that Jesus is LORD:  He is God-in-the-flesh, Who was born miraculously, Who died sacrificially, Who rose from the dead, and Who will return at the end of the age.  Our sins are forgiven, our relationship with God is restored, and we are saved through a relationship with Jesus.  Jesus must be at the center of our beliefs and actions.
  2. Biblically-Based – The Bible is the divinely-inspired Word of God. It contains all things necessary for salvation, it is the story of God and His interaction with humanity, and it points us to Jesus.  The Bible must guide all we do and say.
  3. Mission-Focused – Jesus told His followers to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them all I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). We are still called to fulfill this “Great Commission”.  This mission must be our focus; we must not be distracted.
  4. Spirit-Led – This is not a “feeling”, but the indwelling Presence and divine empowerment of God that is available to all people who have faith in Jesus. The Spirit gives us everything we need to fulfill our God-given purpose.  We must not quinch the Spirit or get ahead of the Spirit.  We must be led by the Spirit.
